I’m Back with a Photo Dump

Hey, do you remember me? My name is Marissa and my husband and I have a herd of children in which we take over wherever we go. Remember?

Ya… it’s been awhile. I’ve been pretty crappy. But I really am starting to make an effort to post more frequently. I would really love to post at least twice a week. That’s my goal… but how many goals have I kept recently? Oh ya. Not many. So we’ll see.

So a lot has happened in the last couple months. My brother got married back in September, a cowboy wedding. I was so excited to finally have a reason to buy myself some cowboy boots. It was an awesome wedding. So much fun! The decor was perfect and not over done.

And then a week after the wedding, my dog Diesel chewed up my cowboy boots. On my daughter’s birthday. I was fucking devastated to say the least.

I may or may not have cried myself to sleep. We don’t have the extra money to replace them, so once again, I’m cowboy boots-less. For who knows how long. Damn asshole dog.

The twinnies are now 8 months old!! Seriously. Where is the time going? I’m doing awful on their monthly pictures. I plan on doing their 8 month pics tonight or tomorrow.

As you know, we went tailgating. That was a blast and felt so wonderful to get away.

Halloween came. And of the course the kids had a great time. Broden is some sort of a ninja every year only because he likes the very expensive swords that you can buy with it… made of styrofoam that always breaks within the month. Kensli decided for an entire month, she was going to be Belle, a costume she got for her birthday. Then decided she wanted to be SpiderMan for the second year in a row.  But then, the night of she came down in a witch costume, which she also got for her birthday. If I would have known that was in the running, I would have at least had a broom and a hat. But oh well. She was just excited I put some make up on and she got to dress up. She’s four. She doesn’t care. But pumpkins… those were a hit. Kensli especially loves removing the guts. She can be such a tom boy… but also loves make up and gettin ‘er hair did. Ahhhh Kensli. I just love that spunky gal.

We didn’t have Broden the night we carved pumpkins, so we did it the next day and he was so kind enough to let the daycare kids help. But I will say, it’s much easier {cleaner} to take the shirts off for any child 4 and under. Trust me on this.

And of course we cooked some pumpkin seeds for a snack. Mmmmm…. my daughter’s new addiction.

Don’t mind the hostile pose… I promise they do love each other!

And since I was staying home with the twins that night, my hunny buns bought some candy for me to pass out for the cute little trick or treaters. A lot of candy… a lot of real yummy candy. He seriously bought the good shit! And…. this is how full it was when we started:

And when it was over:

Not kidding.

We had a total of 4 children stop in our house. That’s all! 1 of them was a daycare kiddo who stopped in before she was going to start trick or treating in her neighborhood. The other was a neighbor down the street, and the last two were brother’s who got to our house 5 minutes after it started. I was so bummed.

And Jason left for London and Amsterdam for work last Tuesday and won’t get back until today. So I’m head of the herd til then. Which is usually okay… but. This time has been nothing but shit happenings for me. {He knows he’s never allowed to leave me again for this long of a period}

I’ll tell ya all about that in the next few posts…. too long to throw in here at this point in the post.

But I certainly can throw in a photo dump!!
